Connecting the Boppo Tablet and the Phone App

Currently Boppo and the phone must be connected to the same WiFi network to communicate.

If you are having troubles connecting the Boppo Tablet and phone app, the first step is to make sure that Boppo is connected successfully to WiFi.

The best way to tell if Boppo is successfully connected to Wifi is to "Check for Updates".

  1. On the Boppo Tablet, go to the "Settings" menu by clicking the Home and Power side buttons at the same time.
  2. Then go to "Check For Updates".
    • If your Boppo Tablet is connected to WiFi it will either say "I'm all up to date..." or it will download a new update.
    • If it says "I was unable to look online for new updates..." then the Wifi connection is likely not working. Please double check that the password is correct and you are in range of your WiFi router. You can re-enter your WiFi password by following the setup instructions.

If the Boppo tablet is connected but the phone is not able to connect to the tablet, please check that your phone is connected to the same WiFi network as the Boppo tablet and is not connected to a VPN. Some guest and corporate networks do not allow devices to communicate directly and are not currently compatible with Boppo and the phone app.
