History

Hi, my name is Ben Hansen, co-founder of boppo.

I started working on what I was then calling 10 Buttons back in 2019 when I noticed my one year old son loved to press buttons. He would take my laptop and press the buttons even though the effect wasn't interesting. He loved light switches—seeing the light go on and off. I thought it would be cool to give him an array of buttons that would light up different colors.

After my son quickly learned 10 colors before the age of two, I realized there was so much potential. My mind raced with all the different activities that could be created with just 10 light up buttons and a speaker. I built activities for learning animals, counting, math and some fun games too. I quit my job in 2022 to work on 10 Buttons full-time and am excited to see it get into more kids hands.

Moline, co-founder and CEO of boppo, and I are spouses and co-parents. Moline oversaw the creation of the boppo brand and is helping take boppo to new heights.
