March is here and so is our newest update!
We have new activities on the Boppo Tablet + our Space and Symphony Toppos. Read on to hear more and to learn more about the other improvements the team has made.
TO UPDATE: First, you need to make sure that Boppo is connected to Wi-Fi - you can check this in the Boppo app. Then you can manually check for updates by turning on your Boppo Tablet and following these steps:
1 - Go to the "Settings" menu by holding down the home button on the device and tapping the power button.
2 - Select "Check for Updates"
3 - Boppo will now look for and install any new updates while letting you know its progress!
Boppo will also automatically check for and install updates if it is plugged in, turned off, not locked for travel ,and the charging light is showing after about 5 minutes of inactivity. The charging light will turn blue while updates are being checked for and installed.

New Release 1: Ping Pong (single and multiplayer)
Battle the computer or a friend in this fast paced game. Time your hits to when the ball completely covers your button to increase the ball speed and out score your opponent.
New Release 2: Piano and Drum Sound Memories
Learn to identify the different notes on the piano and the different drum sounds by playing this fun variation of memory.
New Release 3: At the Symphony Toppo - Rhythm Rehearsal
Practice your rhythm skills by playing the various symphony instruments. Can you repeat the 4 beat rhythm back including the half notes, quarter notes and rests?
New Release 4: Our Solar System Toppo - Jupiter Defender
The Solar System is under asteroid attacks—and only Jupiter now enhanced with amplified gravity force, and YOU, can save us! Respond to asteroid threats when you see them, and then press Jupiter to help save the different planets. Level up as you go, facing faster asteroids and unlocking powerful surprises—like a Solar Flare blast power from the Sun! But move fast. If you’re too late, the Planet health will go down. And if you lose 3 planets it’s….game over!
Volume Limit
Limit the max volume in the device settings menu (press the Home and Power buttons at the same time). The option to set this volume limit will be in the next phone app release too. When a max volume limit is set, the side buttons will not be able to increase the volume above the limit.
WiFi
Improvements to allow connecting to more network security types (particularly those with older security standards)
The colors of the activities have been updated to better reflect the activities (e.g. Yellow for Catch the Runner and purple for Bop-A-Mole) and to distinguish the sub-menus from the main menu.
Other Improvements/Changes

New "Top Buttons Wakeup" setting in the phone app where pressing and holding the top buttons will wake-up Boppo. This is perfect for letting the youngest kids independently turn on Boppo.

Bop-A-Mole: Show the score visually (rounded up to the nearest 10) and improve end of game score announcement

Memory: Switched the red colors sound effect from an explosion sound to a tambourine sound.

Funny Sounds: Switched the explosion sound to a snoring sound

Over-the-air updates: Improved handling of sleeping while updating

Charging light shows white if the battery is not found

Improvements shutting down the filesystem before poweroff and restart

Better error screen if there is an issue while the tablet is booting up

Catch the Runner: Do not fail if a user double clicks and fix the tick sound effect and always start on the first button

Podcasts: Remove Unspookable from the tablet (still available from the phone). We are working on adding many more podcasts and allowing customization of what podcasts are on the tablet in a future release.

The Penguin Orchestra and the Enchanted Song: A Boppo Original Story - The final song has been added in for a much better finale.
On the Farm Toppo
Farmstead care has some improvements including better feedback when pressing a button five times

The following changes are from firmware version 119 to 241. These changes are in the Beta release channel now and will be released to the stable channel by Wednesday March 4th. If you would like to try out these features now you can turn on beta tester mode on your tablet
