A lot has happened at Boppo since our June update! Here's what's new.
New Content and Activities
- Spooky Sounds and Halloween Song – Live right now on the Surprise Me button!
- Winnie-the-Pooh – A Boppo production of the beloved classic by A. A. Milne. Ten short stories.
- Fireworks – Launch fireworks into the air and brighten up the night.
- Camping Sounds – Make your own soundscape of camping and nature sounds. Have you ever stopped while camping and listened very carefully? It's amazing what you can hear!
- Beach Sounds – Make your own soundscape of beach and summer sounds. There's nothing quite like hearing the waves, the seagulls, and kids playing on the beach.
- You Can See the Alphabet – A new song with lyrics written by our "Chief Testing Officer," a.k.a. my son, who was the reason I built Boppo.
New Toppos and Jackets
We launched four new Toppos, our first since the original three! Each comes loaded with 10 new activities. We also launched our protective jackets to add an additional layer colorful protection.
Features and Improvements
- Hide activities from the device menu. Have an activity that isn't a fit for your family? No worries. In the phone app, open the activity page, tap the three dots, and tap "Hide from Device Menus."
- Choose your podcasts. Pick your favorites from over 66 podcasts to show on the Boppo tablet menu. You can select more than 10, or remove them all if you prefer.
- Offline podcasts. Previously downloaded podcast episodes play more reliably without Wi-Fi.
- Faster uploads. Audiobooks and music upload 2–4x faster than before, and you can now upload more than 9 audiobooks.
- Wi-Fi improvements. We fixed issues with several Wi-Fi routers that Boppo struggled to connect to and update through. If you're still having trouble updating Boppo over Wi-Fi, you can update with a USB cable at usb-update.boppo.com or contact us at hello@boppo.com.
As always, updates install automatically while Boppo is charging. Just make sure it's connected to Wi-Fi.
